This is one of my favourite dogs walks just on the outskirts of Sheffield. My humans take me and my sister here very regularly. The walk starts off on a nice and easy human-made trail going through the woods (my favourite place).
We head over a bridge where there is some fast-flowing water which goes back into the reservoir.
We then make our way up a cobbled path, I like to run up a lot faster than my humans as they are super slow at this bit.
It’s then high up on the top of a big hill which has loads of heather on. Me and my sister like to jump through the heather bobbing up and down like kangaroos, my humans find this hilarious.
Sharp left turn towards ‘America’ where my humans sometimes like to sit on the stones and have a cuppa and sandwich. This all depends if there are other humans having picnics and my sister Bernie is very good at sniffing them out and eating them, so my humans can't let me off the lead then.
We then start making our way back down on a path with loads of stones that I can run around, my humans have to watch their footing as it can be a bit hard to walk on, especially in the winter and rain.
It's then onto the home straight through a farmer’s field, so I go back on my lead to make sure I don’t scare the sheep
and then we head towards the bridge which goes over the reservoir towards the little house that sits on the end, I always wonder who lives in there.
We then normally go to the café for a bowl of water and my humans have a cuppa and maybe a chocolate brownie or a chip butty if they are feeling a bit rebellious.
The walk is on my view ranger so you can follow it on there and enjoy it as much as me.
